The mysterious android lifeforms that have inhabited Neo Kobe City. They appear almost out of nowhere, killing humans and taking their place in society (also known as "snatching").
Due to the fact that they haven't perfected an artificial skin, they can only come out at night during the winter, when the sun's ultraviolet rays are at it's weakest. Even then, they have to wear a large amount of suncreen. Otherwise, their current artificial skin will form cancerous-like symptoms.
They are equipped with a blaster inside their mouths that can pack some major power and can easily bring down just about anything.
Where they are found, certain other materials seem to always be around, such as Snow-9 (an artificial pollen that resembles snow; harmful if inhaled directly) and materials relating to the former Soviet Union.
Normally appearing with the SNATCHERS are insectors. Insectors are used like bodyguards to keep any intruders from interfering with the SNATCHERS work. Armed with needle point guns, they can be highly dangerous and deadly.
The "snatch" process is rather complicated, but once it is completed, it is nearly impossible to distiguish them from the ones they've snatched. The only weakness they have are two little slits on their forehead that, with a shot from a Junker's blaster, can completely immobilized them. The snatch process is limited to middle age people, meaning they can't snatch children or those who are very tall or short.
